Description

Marwen is about to celebrate thirty years serving youth in Chciago. What began in 1987 as a handful of teens in a single studio has grown into a nationally-recognized center for art-first youth-development programming that serves thousands of Chicago youth each year.

Through the generosity of many, Marwen is able to provide rigorous and relevant visual arts education along with college and career exploration completely free of charge. Marwen believes first and foremost in the intrinsic value of making-art, but we know that the communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills students learn in our courses will serve them well, whatever paths they choose.
