Mission Statement

Empowering women with children to overcome homelessness

Description

Saint Louise House was founded in 2000 to address the drastic shortage of safe housing and supportive services for homeless women and children. We provide deeply affordable and supportive housing for low income homeless women and their children with the goal of helping families develop long-term stability. Saint Louise House has grown from five apartments in 2001 to two 24-unit apartment complexes and the capacity to serve 46 families. In an apartment-style housing environment, families are encouraged to be a part of our supportive community as they work or attend school. To achieve our mission of empowering women with children to overcome homelessness, we provide a housing and a program that includes case management, counseling, life skills training and employment services. Saint Louise House collaborates with our families, our partner organizations, our donors and volunteers to serve the most vulnerable of our community in their hour of need--and in the months and years that follow.
