Mission Statement

The Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation is a 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to correcting the dramatically growing trend of gender disparity in the information technology field. The Foundation accomplishes this by attacking the problem at several of its roots--the education and orientation of young women throughout school, and the fostering of women in various stages of their professional lives--with a variety of educational and inspirational programs and support. For more information about the foundation, please visit www.mcwtf.org.

Description

The MCWT Foundation sponsors programs to inspire and foster women at all stages of their evolution in the information technology field. Some exemplary programs include:

1. K through 12 programs including a summer camp for girls;

2. High School Programs (GET-IT) which meet weekly

3. University and post-University scholarship programs and special interest groups

4. Robotics and Website design and development contests and competitions

We can use volunteers to handle all aspects of our programs; to assist with fundraising; and to contribute to our marketing and messaging.
