Mission Statement

The Laguna Board of REALTORS Charitable Assistance fund is a non profit 501(c)3 organization which exists for the benefit of the local community and the LBOR members.

Formed in 2004, the founding Board of Directors had a vision to create a nonprofit organization which would raise funds to donate to local nonprofit organizations in need.

In keeping with the giving, volunteer spirit of the Laguna Beach community, the Charitable Assistance fund prioritizes local organizations which do not have other consistent means of support.

A portion of the proceeds from the fundraisers go back to the CAF account to be used for the needs of its REALTOR and Affiliate members. CAF is proud to have supported its members in times of medical, financial and local disaster hardship.

Description

This is the 20th Anniversary of Laguna's "A Taste for Charity" & Silent Art Auction created by the Laguna Board of REALTORS & Affiliates Charitable Assistance Fund.

This year’s event promises to be even more successful than last year! We offer opportunities to taste some of the finest food from Laguna Beach. Some of the participating restaurants include The Cliff, K’ya, Laguna Coffee, GnarlyQ, Las Brisas, Thai Brothers, My Fit Foods, Big Fish Tavern, Tortilla Republic, Nirvana Grille, Mozambique, Whole Foods, Selanne Steak Tavern, Gelato Paradiso and Starfish.

The centerpiece of the event is the generous donations made by the local artists, galleries and merchants of Laguna Beach. Each year there are upwards of 75 original pieces of art from local artists to be bid on either by silent or live auction. In addition to the donated artwork, there will be exciting live auction packages.

We are thrilled to announce that the Laguna Beach Concert Band will perform with an 18-piece orchestra on the balcony overlooking the entry to the media lounge at [seven-degrees] and a saxophonist will entertain on the back terrace.

This is truly shaping up to be a wonderful event of Food, Wine, Music and Art.

BENEFICIARIES OF THE EVENT INCLUDE: The Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach, CSP Youth Shelter, First Thursday’s Art Walk, Laguna Board of REALTORS and Affiliates’ Charitable Assistance Fund, LB High School Scholarships, Laguna Concert Band, The Laguna Food Pantry, Laguna Plein Air Painters Association and No Square Theatre.
