We are looking for a volunteer to attend Centro Multicultural events and workshops and take pictures and videos to create Tiktok content for our account. This opportunity does not have a set schedule or location. The time/dates will vary and will be communicated with at least five days in advance. Most of the events will take place at Centro Multicultural La Familia but some may be at a different location in Pontiac and its surrounding areas. Requirements: Experience creating/editing Tiktok videos Have an eye for content opportunities and take initiative Culturally sensitive Provide your own transportation (if needed) Onboarding and Confidentiality Training will be provided.

We need someone with experience with fundraising events to help us promote our next Fun-raisers as now they may need to be virtual. If you enjoy the Hispanic culture and want to practice your Spanish, you will have fun helping us promote this event in the community. Experience with social media is helpful too to help promote our bilingual programs.

Exito Educativo is an education program that helps high school students and their families understand the educational system in the United States. The program helps with things such as: FASFA, scholarship applications, college applications, and much more. We are looking for a Volunteer to help with Exito's Fall Program that runs once a week starting Wednesday, October 18th and closes Wednesday, November 8th. Training will be provided by the coordinators of the program and volunteer will receive all material needed to complete their tasks. Dates: Every Wednesday from Oct. 18th to Nov. 8th - Total of 4 sessions Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm Location: 2nd Floor at Centro Multicultural La Familia Activities: Receive students and families at the door Help answer questions and guide families during breakout sessions Assist during meal time (setup, serving, cleaning up) Document attendance, take pictures and video for social media and marketing purposes Take down of material, chairs, tables, after the session is over. Requirements: Able to communicate in Spanish *preferred Passionate about education Able to work with a diverse group of individuals Outgoing, approachable and culturally sensitive Join us and become part of our Familia and help our community understand the resources and opportunities out in the world for them to discover.

Looking for a volunteer to document events with photography and video. Event dates vary but most workshops are Wednesdays from 4-6pm and some on weekends. To provide culturally-competent support services to families in a holistic approach in order to improve their quality of life. We are a private, not-for-profit, mission-driven organization that provides comprehensive services to a diverse community. While most of the clients we serve now are of Latin descent, we strive to offer services to a broader cultural community. We are proud to be able to offer culturally and linguistically competent services in the areas of mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, victims of crime advocacy, parenting education, health education and promotion, wellness workshops, Exito Educativo and support and interpretation for pregnant women at St Joseph’s Women Center.
