During these uncertain times, how can we help?

The mission of College Guild is to provide free correspondence courses that connect incarcerated people with a community beyond prison walls, fostering mutual respect through a shared passion for learning.
College Guild is a nonprofit in operation since 2001 and based in Brunswick, Maine. We reach/help students in state and federal prisons nationwide.
We have enrolled more than 8000 students who are incarcerated and who are seeking a chance to learn, improve, and grow. Unlike accredited prison courses, ours excludes no one - regardless of race, gender, age, sentencing, etc.
Through a mutually-anonymous correspondence with careful guidance and quality control, volunteer "readers" respond to students' wonderful poetry, art, and writing, through our 25 courses, including Creative Writing, Travel, Mythology, Marine Biology. Students mail their work to College Guild, and Volunteers receive an electronic copy from College Guild. As long as you have internet access, you can be a reader! Our volunteer readers reside across the U.S., Canada and points beyond.
