This partnership involves the implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects, while involving and training responsible non-engineering and engineering professionals and students.
Description
Volunteering with EWBOur success IS our volunteers - nothing would be possible without their support.
There are both non-engineering and engineering aspects to our projects. We incorporate volunteers with backgrounds in business, journalism, health, education and much more. Projects need help with health assessments, cultural education, trip planning, fund raising, and grant writing. Engineering p roject "types" (% breakdown) include:
- Energy Projects - 16%
- Structures Projects - 10%
- Water Supply Projects - 50%
- Sanitation Projects - 11%
- Bridge/Road Projects - 4%
- Agricultural Projects - 9%
All project participants are asked to promote high engineering standards by following the American Society of Civil Engineers' Code of Ethics
EWB offers you several great opportunities to become involved in building a better world, one community at a time.
Only EWB members are eligible to participate on project teams.
