Mission Statement

The mission of the Upper Merion Area School District is to inspire excellence in every student, every day. Strong communities build strong neighborhood schools. This synergy has produced many partnership opportunities in business, social, and cultural venues. Our community volunteers share the daily excitement of learning by working in our schools with students and staff. Volunteers play an increasingly vital role in the Upper Merion Area school system. They improve instruction by permitting more individual assistance to students; enrich curriculum by adding the experience of their interests, hobbies, and avocations; and increase positive community relations through exchange of ideas.

Description

The Upper Merion Area School District is home to four elementary schools serving grades pre-K to 4, a middle school serving grades 5 to 8, and a high school serving grades 9 to 12. The district comprises the Boroughs of Bridgeport and West Conshohocken, along with Upper Merion Township. We proudly teach a diverse population of approximately 3,700 students.

From small homes in the pastures and farm lands of the 18th century, to the 21st century state-of-the-art schools close to bustling corporate and shopping centers, our district has remained committed to its neighborhoods and our most valued asset, our children.
