Mission Statement
The mission of Camp To Belong is to reunite siblings placed in separate foster homes or other out of home care for events that encourage emotional empowerment, social maturation, positive outlook, fun and sibling connection.
Description
There are 16,000 foster children in Georgia, and 75% of our foster children are sparated from at least one sibling. Our program provides an opportunity for these brothers and sisters to reunite and spend quality time together. Our primary goal is to provide a sense of belonging to youth as individuals and as siblings,. we try to allow our campers to create positive childhood memories together that they would not otherwise experiencewhile living in separate homes. Our signature event is a week long summer camp, but we will hold additional event throughout the year in order to stregthen sibling bonds.
