Mano a Mano: Mexican Culture Without Borders

Mano a Mano : Mexican Culture Without Borders is a nonprofit organization (501(c)(3) in its eighth year of presenting major collaborative cultural events in the New York City area. It began as an initiative of the Center for Traditional Music and Dance ( www.ctmd.org) in the Mexican community of New York. Composed of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans of many generations and occupations, the Mano a Mano team strives to present the rich range of Mexican cultural forms.

Our Objectives Are:

• Preserve Mexican traditions and culture and promote understanding of Mexican's rich cultural heritage;

• Ensure pride in being a Mexican / of Mexican descent through education and empowerment;

• Serve as a resource on Mexican culture and community services;

• Strengthen bonds between Mexicans, other Hispanics and the general community.
