The mission of the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County is to empower and support individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community through education, information, public awareness and advocacy.

Description

The Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County (DSNMC) is holding its 11th Annual Buddy Walk , on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Miracle Field in Germantown, Md.

The goal of the Buddy Walk is to promote awareness and acceptance of people with Down syndrome in Montgomery County and beyond. To that end, DSNMC hosted more than 700 participants at the walk last year and the goal is to surpass that record-setting number this year. DSNMC relies on the funds raised at Buddy Walk to provide services and programs supporting those whose lives have been touched by Down syndrome.

DSNMC is seeking volunteers to help with activities leading up to the event and and on the day of anytime between 6:30am-2:30pm.
