Hospice Volunteers are an important part of a multi-disciplinary care team with the goal of easing suffering and improving the quality of end of life. We will provide free training and onboarding that will familiarize you with hospice and set you up for success. No experience with hospice required. We will support you throughout your volunteer experience and also provide monthly peer support groups and continuing education. The hours are flexible and can work around your schedule. Our next volunteer training classes will be on ZOOM in the fall of 2024. Volunteers are friendly visitors for our hospice patients at home, nursing facilities and at local hospitals. Volunteers are needed to read to patients, provide a listening ear, caregiver respite, play music, provide reiki or massage, vigil for those in need of support in their final hours and to visit with certified pet therapy teams.
