Mission Statement

Mental Health Association (MHA) and the Families Foremost Center promote mental wellness and supports those with mental illness by sponsoring and implementing advocacy, education and community service programs.

Description

Families Foremost Center (FFC) provides free, comprehensive services for parents with young children (under the age of four). Services include: home visiting, parent education, adult education (ABE/GED/ESOL), developmental infant and toddler program, parent-child activities, employment readiness, computer skills training, health education, family literacy, learning parties, peer support and case management.

I volunteer for the GED class. The students are motivated to develop life skills. Helping a mother get her GED certificate is rewarding. I enjoy the time I spend with students.
