Mission Statement

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Rising Voices Chorus offers a means of artistic expression for cancer patients and survivors.

The group's history: We started in January of 2014, inspired by a group in Ireland called "Something to Sing About" (www.stsa.ie).

The objectives have been to create an opportunity for singers of all abilities to join together, singing upbeat and soulful songs. The time spent together is a time away from the usual cares of the day. The main goal is community through music.

Description

The chorus meets twice per month on a weeknight evening at the Bendheim Center MSK. There is no cost to the group members and there are no auditions. All cancer patients and survivors are welcome to join.
