To introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with a free gift of professional portraiture. 'Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep' trains, educates, and mobilizes professional quality photographers to provide beautiful heirloom portraits to families facing the untimely death of an infant. We believe these images serve as an important step in the family’s healing process by honoring the child’s legacy.
'Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep' (NILMDTS) is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization that exists to assist families suffering an early infant loss or who have newborn children in hospice situations.
NILMDTS is a worldwide organization, with photographers from virtually every state in the U.S., as well as Canada, Australia, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
This network has been formed to provide parents of terminally ill or stillborn babies with beautiful, heirloom portraits of their children to treasure for a lifetime.
All services donated to this cause are on a volunteer basis. All proceeds go directly into this organization to help parents who are experiencing an early infant/ child loss.
Since NILMDTS was co-founded in early 2005 by Cheryl Haggard, Sandy Puc' and partner Dave Junion, approximately 3500 of the worlds finest professional photographers have graciously agreed to volunteer their time and services in their communities for this meaningful purpose.
These professional quality portraits allow families to honor and remember their child. Many times, a photograph is the only thing these families have to hold on to, and cherish the spirit of that child's life.
