Mission Statement

The Mission of A Place to Call Home Parrot Rescue and Adoption is to provide long and short term care for companion birds by providing the proper nutrition, housing, exercise, medical care, training, rehabilitation and stimuli to create happy, healthy and well-adjusted pets. We are dedicated to finding loving, long term homes for all our birds whenever possible. A Place to Call Home is also committed to providing educational resources and programs to bird owners, volunteers, and the general public with the hope that by educating people abouth care and ownership of companion birds, we will be able to enhance the lives of these birds everywhere.

Description

A non-profit 501c3 organization, A Place to Call Home offers high quality care and re-homing of companion birds and strives to provide educational opportunities to the public through outreach programs, special classes, lectures and literature in regards to the better understanding of care and ownership of birds.

Working with parrots is an extremely rewarding experience. It's truly a wonderful feeling to walk-in and see birds jumping up and down because they're happy to see you. If you're a volunteer you get to attend classes for free and learn so much about many different species of birds.
