MISSION STATEMENT
·To provide information and education; regarding children's rights, adult education/literacy training for women and girls.
·To provide education and information to foster orphans and other vulnerable children.
·To educate people on discrimination against orphans and other vulnerable children
·To equip the women and the female youths with vocational skills/handiworks.
·HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness and education, Cancer, Hepatitis B etc. care and support.
·To provide practical and social support for orphans, women and other vulnerable children.
·To research policies covering the orphans, children and women in local, district, national and international levels.
Description
Paajaf is a humanitarian services foundation for orphans and other needy children, women and girls who are drop out of school through voluntary child and adult literacy classes, care and support through vocational and ICT training to develop skills and capacity building.
It is also aimed of creating awareness and preventing certain communicable diseases like malaria, diarrhoea, dysentery, cancer, tuberculosis, hiv/aids, hepatitis B and other tropical diseases.
It is also geared toward eliminating social vices and teenage pregnancies through its training, support and care programme.
Philip Kyei Appiah and Juliet Adusei set it up and at the heart of Paajaf, is the desire to provide these services voluntarily to enable these people live in peace.
Paajaf - has launch out into the remote rural settlements to have community talks on childcare issues, prevention of common diseases, the value of women and girl child education and have set up some literacy classes with adults and school dropout to bring street children to school and formal education and to educate the illiterate populace to the knowledge about health issues e.g: malaria, diarrhoea, dysentery, cancer, tuberculosis, hiv/aids, hepatitis B etc.
And we have also networked children of school going age to share information and ideas, that young people have the opportunity to celebrate their own culture and learn about those of other as well as sharing Paajaf protects idea.
The projects are carrying on at Gbawe-Greater Accra and Benkasa near Sunyani in the Brong Ahalfo Region of Ghan
