Mission Statement

With a strong belief that one person can make a difference, the Audacious Divas facilitate that effort by raising funds for ongoing research and promoting local programs that educate and support those whose lives are impacted by cancer. We strive to promote cancer awareness, with our main focus on women’s cancers, in hope we will see the day when cancer is eradicated.

Description

The Audacious Divas were formed as a team for a Washington DC breast cancer walk in 2010. What began as a 3-person team has transformed into a fundraising powerhouse and strong voice for cancer awareness. To date the Divas have raised over $160,000.

The Audacious Divas were co-founded by Debbi Shaffer and Tammy Musselwhite, whose lives have both been strongly impacted by cancer. Ms. Shaffer is a breast cancer survivor and Ms. Musselwhite lost her mom to cancer in 2010. Their personal connections make them passionate about finding a cure and they are always coming up with creative and fun ways to raise funds and awareness.
