Mission Statement

"No Form of Charity is Foreign to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul"

Description

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was founded in Paris in 1833 by a 20-year-old college student named Frederic Ozanam. The first U.S. Conference was established 12 years later, at the Old Cathedral in St. Louis (above). Ozanam was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1997. It now houses conferences all over the World. We work to be a voice for the poor, and through our ministries we feed them, cloth them, and give them comfort.
