Mission Statement

Organization Mission The main purpose of the Riverside Art Center is to "encourage the learning and enjoyment of the arts in the community through the use of art classes, demonstrations, seminars, exhibits, and lectures to the community regarding all types of art." The main focus of the center will be on creating art such as oil painting, watercolor painting, pastel painting, pottery, ceramics, decorative art, pencil/charcoal drawing, card making, and pen & ink drawings. Other variations of arts including photography, stained glass, and jewelry making will also be encouraged. Programs will be offered for all ages, regardless of social status, gender, or race.

Description

Riverside (RAC) follows an annual event schedule, leaving enough open dates to create time for opportunities. RAC Member Exhibits, Photography Show, Local Artist Exhibits, and a Children s Art Show; along with art classes and Gift Gallery giving local artists the opportunity to earn recognition and create income. Art Show openings are Free events for the community. The Exhibits, classes, and events are continuously changing through out the grant year. All the events will be marketed in our local Newspaper articles and on our web site and in Newsletters/emails. We partner with "Experience works" a senior Nonprofit organization to staff the Art Center on a daily basis.
