Mission Statement

To provide the state of Ohio with an efficent and well trained and mobile naval military unit. That we will be able to respond at any call from the Governor or Adjutant General.

Description

The Ohio Naval militia is an organized, unarmed, all volunteer, state defense force. We serve under the direction of the Gocernor and Adjutant General's Dept. of the State of Ohio. We are governed by the Ohio Revised Code sections 5920.1 and 5921.0

We assist in natural disasters or other emergencies, as called upon by the Governor or the Adjutant General. The ONM is here and ready to serve the citizens of Ohio.

We train one weekend a month and we also protect boaters on Lake Erie from entering into an impact area west of Port clinton off the shores of the Camp Perry firing ranges.
