Description

HOBY New York East is the local affiliate of an international non-profit organization dedicated to the development of leadership potential in high school sophomores.

Our major programs include an annual 3-day leadership seminar that hosts over 200 high school sophomores from approximately 150 high schools from the 22 counties we serve across eastern New York State, as well as smaller 1-day Community Leadership Workshops (CLeWs) for high school freshmen held throughout the year.

Participation in our programs also provides students the opportunity to participate in other HOBY International programs, including the Advanced Leadership Academy, the World Leadership Congress, and various international service trips.

In the 2012-2013 seminar year, HOBY NYE alumni logged over 9,000 hours of service in their local communities! Our program makes a difference in the lives of young people - come see how!
