Volunteer tutors promote the cause of literacy and assist adult learners attain their college and career goals by providing one-to-one tutoring or small group tutoring of adults who need help with reading and writing, or basic English and civics assistance to new speakers of English.

Help a neighbor by volunteering with the Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy’s Career Pathways program in Centre County.

We are seeking volunteers to assist adult learners and out of school youth boost their basic reading, writing, math, and English language skills enabling them to find work, obtain their GED, transition to college or training, making for a stronger community and economic base for all of us in Centre County.

Locations are convenient, schedules are flexible, and learners deeply appreciative.
