CRISIS CENTER'S MISSION We are dedicated to providing a safe haven, crisis intervention and comprehensive support services to victims of family violence and sexual assault. We are further dedicated to breaking the cycle of family and sexual violence through community education while assisting victims in their transition to a more stable and self-sufficient life.
At the Crisis Center, we are dedicated to providing a safe haven, crisis intervention, and comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Grayson Crisis Center provides emergency shelter to victims and their children while addressing the short-term and long- term individual needs of all victims (both residential and non residential) by providing assistance with safety planning, crisis intervention, support and problem solving, access to needed resources, and provide personal advocacy to all victims. These services are crucial to empower victims to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of violence in their lives and the lives of their children.
If you love thrift stores, and helping others then this is your place to volunteer. I help at the Women's Crisis Center Thrift Store on Texoma Pkwy in Sherman, Texas. I can go in at anytime and help. Charles Bell the manager at the store is a awesome leader, producer and employee friendly kind of manager. You will not only be helping prepare the donated items to be sold you will see the gratitude from finding items for customers with fixed incomes and knowing that the money provides jobs for the employees who work there and items for women, men and the families who want a better life and not live in domestic violence. Its a win win for everyone...lets help others learn that they do not have to continue to live in this environment. The will provide education, safe haven and a new start of life.
