The mission of expERIEnce Children's Museum is to enrich the lives of children by providing a creative and interactive environment where children experience leaning as fun. This is accomplished through the use of exhibits, programs and a collection which are related to the sciences, arts and humanities.
Title: Gallery Guide
Objective: To maintain a clean, safe, and educational environment in the Museum galleries
Responsibilities include: Welcome all visitors through positive interaction. Encourage children to develop a sense of excitement and discovery through hands-on use of exhibits related to the sciences, arts, and exhibits. Encourage visitors to follow the rules of the Museum to ensure their safety and the durability of the exhibits. Help maintain the exhibit areas and the Museum by participating in the daily setting-up cleaning, and closing procedures.
Qualifications: Volunteers must be 14 years or older. Must have the ability to positively redirect children. Mmust be willing to clean up after children. Must be responsible, courteous and maintain an appropriate manner while on site.
Orientation/Training: A staff member will provide a one hour orientation session before the volunteer begins volunteering. It will include a discussion of the individual's responsibilities, a tour of the Museum, and overview of how the Museum exhibits work. Please note: some special events do NOT require an orientation.
