Mission Statement

The mission of the Contra Costa County Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board is to assess family and community needs regarding treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse problems. We report our findings and recommendations to the Contra Costa Health Services Department, the Board of Supervisors and the communities we serve.

The Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board works in collaboration with the Alcohol and Other Drugs Services Division of Contra Costa Health Services. We provide input and recommendations as they pertain to alcohol and other drugs prevention, intervention, and treatment services.

Description

Requirements:

District Board Members are appointed by their District Supervisor and must be 18 years of age or older and live or work in Contra Costa County.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 3:45 - 6:15 p.m., and are open to the public. Each board member is also required to participate in the activities of one committee, which requires attendance at one additional meeting per month.
