Missoula Aging Servicespromotes the independence, dignity and health of older adults and those that care for them.
Missoula Aging Services is a county-wide, not for profit agency responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering services which support the aging process. Missoula Aging Services promotes independence and dignity, identifying elders with the greatest need, ensure efficient use of public and private resources, provide consumer information, advocates for quality services, provides easy access to services and leadership which responds to the changing needs of an aging society. We provide many volunteer opportunities through programs such as the Friendly Visitors, Meals-on-Wheels, RSVP, Foster Grandparent Program, and the Senior Companion Program, as well as several others.
Throughout my career I worked most often for non-profits. While most people involved in non-profits had a strong sense of mission it also seemed to attract less than stellar players as well. I am completely bowled over by the staff at MAS. All are smart, dedicated, personable and creative. The result is an agency that provides a wealth of services and has an active role in the community and that has built strong and viable relationships with the community. I am proud to be affiliated with this organization and intend to support them as long as I can.
MAS is a great place to volunteer. The staff is friendly and appreciative and they go out of their way to make volunteers part of the team.
There’s a variety of assignments in community agencies you can choose from, as well as work in the office. I’ve volunteered my whole adult life and MAS, by far, is the best!
