Mission Statement

Our mission is to make the lower Mustang District a rural center for cultural exchange and innovation in Nepal, with urgent focus on giving local children and youth meaningful educational experiences through engaging pedagogies and access to the arts.

Description

Marpha Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to education and the arts. We are based in the lower Mustang District of Nepal where we teach art and language classes for local children and monks, work with communities on a unified vision for local education, and host an artist in residence program for talents across disciplines.
