Mission Statement

The Yolo Co. SPCA is a private, non-profit, charitable animal welfare organization dedicated to improving the welfare of all animals.

Description

Services of the Yolo Co. SPCA: Lost and Found: The YCSPCA administers Yolo County's lost and found program. SPCA Office: In addition to the lost and found program, the SPCA's employees who work out of the office at the Animal Services shelter assist visitors to the kennel, help with adoptions directly from the shealter and with moving animals into foster care, organize purebred rescues, and answer inquires regarding pet health and behavior, responsible pet care, and low-cost spay/neuter surgery. Foster homes: Since the YCSPCA does not maintain its own shelter, our volunteers take companion animals from the Animal Services shelter and other sources to be housed in there own homes, while awaiting adoption. Thrift store: Our store at 920 Third Street, Davis, is open everyday of the week and the proceeds from sales at the trift store are used to help animals. Animal placement: Foster animals are brought for adoption to area parks, shopping centers, and specialty events. All YCSPCA animals are spayed or neutered before adoption.
