Mission Statement

NOBLE ONES BULLY BREED RESCUE is a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of South Carolina on January 24th, 2008. Jennifer Lopez and Denielle Frisa incorporated NOBBR to cater to "Bully Breeds" also known as the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) , American Staffordshire terrier (Am Staff) , American Bulldog, Staffordshire bull terrier (Staffie) , and more. We are a rescue dedicated to the rehabilitation and re-homing of abandoned, stray, and neglected bully breed dogs. Noble Ones Bully Breed Rescue hopes to transform the undeserved negative image that society has of these animals through education. We encourage responsible pet ownership and humane treatment to animals and we are in support of breed neutral policies to protect these wonderful animals. We'd also like to educate the Lowcountry on the importance of spaying & neutering.

Description

NOBLE ONES BULLY BREED RESCUE believes in quality and not quantity when it comes to the dogs in our program. As much as we'd love to take in every dog out there that needs our help, we take in only a limited amount who we can realistically take on with the resources we have. At any given time the number of dogs in our program may be few in number due to the quality care we provide to each and every one of them. We treat the dogs in our program just as we do our own - with lots and lots of TLC that they rightfully deserve!

Noble Ones Bully Breed Rescue main focus is to rescue dogs that are in high risk of euthanasia in local shelters. All dogs that enter our program have been temperament tested prior to acceptance. NOBBR does NOT place dogs that exhibit human aggression. The dogs are seen by our local veterinarian to bring the dog UTD on all vaccinations and enter a 10 day observation period. NOBBR is a foster home based rescue and our dogs obtain lots of needed socialization and obedience training while in foster care. Foster homes are play a vital role and are responsible for continuing training and producing an ambassador for the breed. NOBBR believes that proper placement is imperative to this often misunderstood breed and we reserve the right to decline any application as we see fit.

NOBBR does not have a physical location where the dogs are kept but all dogs attend monthly Meet and Greets. The adoption process involves approval of the adoption application, phone interview, and home visit. Home visits allow us to evaluate your home life and give you time to meet the possible match for your family. It is important to make sure that all members of the household have been included in the decision to adopt a dog. Owning a bully breed comes with the harsh reality that these dogs have been scrutinized in the media for years and the general public is not always welcome to the breed. It is important to be a responsible dog owner at all times and go above and beyond the norm to help society paint a different picture of our bully's.
