Mission Statement

Promoting youth residential care as a vital component of the youth care continuum through demonstration programs, outcome measurement and evaluation and dissemination of this work to the field in order to positively impact youth residential care.

Description

The Consortium is a national partnership of eight youth serving agencies in eight states. Our home office is currently located in Portland, ME. Our partners are in PA, GA, ME, TX, KY, NE, IA, and MN.

We work with youth in a residential program setting providing therapeutic treatment, education and recreation focused on building well-being. Our newest initiative is a national program to work with families and their youth in care to build a bridge to successful transitions back to home, school and community for youth.

Previous programs include After School Programs, Staff Development and Independent Living Programs for youth aging out of care who are not returning to families.
