Mission Statement

The Mission of Josie's Place is to provide a safe and caring environment that supports children, teens and their families in the San Francisco Bay Area who are grieving a death.

We provide education, compassion and understanding to participants as they integrate grief into their lives at their own pace.

Description

Josie's Place provides group support to children and teens who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, close relative or friend.

Group activities include:drawing, writing, art, music, discussion and play.

Separate group sessions are held at the same time for adult family members.

Our support groups provide a safe environment for shared expression of feeling about the loss of a loved one.

Groups meet twice a month in the early evening.

Our program is offered free or with donation and is open to youth ages 3-18.

We also provide community speakers for interested groups.
