Mission Statement

The Kline Homeless Veterans Fund, a non-profit organization working in close cooperation with the Veterans Administration and other Veteran friendly organizations: and is dedicated to providing a safe refuge for homeless veterans and their families without regard to race, creed, gender, or religious affiliation.

We are a local charity working in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Among the ways we raise funds is through a semi annual veterans poppy drive in connection with Post #64 of the Jewish War Veterans. Because, like most veteran organizations, our population is aging into the 80s and 90s. We are seeking volunteers to help with the Memorial Day and Veterans Day poppy drives.

We presently support beds for women veterans (some with children) at Shade Tree womens shelter, and we are providing matching funds to a HUD grant with US Vets to provide long term housing to veteran families who would otherwise be homeless.

Description

Our organization is operated by all volunteers including the Board of Directors. We have no employees and minimal overhead. Over 90% of all funds raised go directly to our housing programs.

We currently support beds at the Shade Tree Women's Shelter for homeless femail veterans both single and with children. We are also partnered with U.S. Vets where we provide HUD matching funds for veteran family housing.
