The Minnesota HomeCare Association represents a diverse consortium of providers with the mission to promote the delivery of quality care in a variety of living environments.
Description
The Minnesota HomeCare Association (MHCA) is a statewide, non-profit association whose mission is to promote the delivery of quality care in a variety of home living environments. MHCA believes home and community based services an integral part of the health care system and should be readily available to anyone who needs it. MHCA represents over 250 diverse home care organizations that provide hands-on care to Minnesota residents, including county public health nursing services, hospital/ nursing home-based programs, private duty agencies, assisted living facilities, personal care provider organizations and other health related o rganizations. Companies that sell products or services to home care agencies, or individuals with an interest in home care, hold an affiliate membership in MHCA. MHCA provides a variety of services to its members including information, education, advocacy for adequate
reimbursement, and appropriate regulation for home care, opportunities for regional and state-wide networking and a code of ethics for home care. The Minnesota HomeCare Association is recognized as the "Voice for Home Care" in Minnesota.
