Mission Statement

After Breast Cancer is incorporated with the following objectives:

-To provide resources that contribute to a woman’s Quality of Life (QOL) after breast cancer. -To provide women with limited financial resources with bra, camisole and breast prosthesis at no cost to them after breast removal surgery (mastectomy or lumpectomy). -To identify underserved areas in breast cancer survivorship that lack resources and provide evidence based information that can facilitate informed decision making on issues related to breast cancer survivorship.

Description

How it works:

We purchase new bras, breast prostheses and/or camisoles.

  1. We undertake Fitting Education appointments at specific locations.
  2. Women receive ONE new breast prosthesis every two years.
  3. Women receive up to THREE new mastectomy bras a year.
  4. We offer on-going Educational Workshops to women facing breast cancer.
