Conservation Volunteers International Program is an environmental nonprofit dedicated to the sustainability of some of the world's greatest landscapes, cultural heritage sites and biodiversity. We accomplish our mission by providing opportunities for ordinary people to get their hands dirty doing extraordinary volunteer services. Our projects include maintaining and building trails, restoring archaeological sites, and protecting and restoring critical habitats.
ConservationVIP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We began our volunteer work in 2007 with one volunteer trip which helped one of the world's most amazing environments - Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile. Since then, thanks to the support of many volunteers, we have expanded to support nine destinations with extraordinary environmental, cultural, or biodiversity importance, including Machu Picchu in Peru, the Galapagos Islands, and Costa Rica.
Under our stewardship, more than 1,400 volunteers on close to 100 volunteer trips have contributed over 49,000 volunteer hours to protect these extraordinary places. By matching the enthusiasm of people who like to travel, with opportunities to help the places they want to visit, we have created a community of happy volunteers who have truly helped the places they love.
