Mission Statement

We are a nonprofit dedicated to providing nutritious food to low income individuals living with a chronic illness including those infected/affected with HIV/AIDS. Meeting the needs of a diverse population allows us to nurture the nest by completing the cycle of caring with dignity and respect.

Description

WE R GROUP HUG has partnered with aids Care Ocean State to distribute food weekly to individuals and families through their counselors.

WE R GROUP HUG also delivers food to clinics, group homes, nurseries and clinical nurseries as well as soup kitchens in the greater Providence area servicing another 1200 clients. We have extended our services to the same clientele that do not receive assistance or support from a Rhode Island Aids servicing agency at this time. With the infected/affected numbers growing, there are more who are in desperate need of food then ever before. With proof of HIV/AIDS infection, a legitimate doctors letter along with positive test results, and proof of no or low income, we will continue to provide the missing component, nutritional food, which ensures a necessary positive health cycle for a complete medical regimen in the care of clients living with the virus.
