Mission Statement

The mission of the Ohio Environmental Council is to inform, unite and empower all Ohio citizens to protect the environment and conserve natural resources by rectifying past abuses and preventing future harm.

Description

We are a private, nonprofit advocacy group committed to solving ecological problems. The OEC is a statewide organization networking environmental and conservation groups across the state and working to create coalitions of concerned citizens to collectively improve Ohio's environmental policies. We work to help ensure an environment that is protective of the health and welfare of all Ohio's citizens.

I am an intern at the Ohio Environmental Council and I believe they are doing great work that is necessary to the well being of Ohio's environment. I first considered myself a skeptic when it came to the environment and its many issues, but having worked among the staff at the OEC, I can see that everything they do is integral to the improvement of Ohio's land, air, and water.
