Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve human need in southwest Shiawassee County, through programs and services that build community connections. We also work to positively change social forces that cause human suffering.

Description

Looking Glass Community Services (LGCS) is a faith based, non-profit agency located in the southwest corner of Shiawassee County, Michigan. LGCS collaborates with individuals & families, groups, and other agencies to enable & empower those in need to tear down any barriers that may cause them to feel alone and isolated from the community as a whole. Some ways we achieve this is by:

  • Operate a Community Garden Program
  • Operate a Volunteer Taxi Program to provide free or low cost rides to people in our service area that have transportation issues
  • Operate a Summer Children's Program providing fun, uplifting, and character building activities

They really have a heart for helping the community and do everything in their power to uplift and empower the adults as well as the youth in the community.
