Mission Statement

The mission of Arkansas Delta Service Corps (ARDSC) is to "create a positive change across the Delta through service." We "get things done" by: tutoring children and youth in school; providing after-school enrichment; teaching adult literacy, increasing the use of computer technology, teaching parenting skills, providing food and shelter to families; conducting health programs for the elderly and community residents etc.

Description

Arkansas Delta Service Corps, a bi-state
partnership among Arkansas and Mississipp, is an AmeriCorps program that recruits citizens age 17 and older (no upper age limit), to address the educational and human needs of the Delta region of Arkansas and Mississippi.

ARDSC will partner with existing local and state government agencies, non-profit agencies, and faith based organizations to place members at that agency. Members will serve an 11-month term with an agency/organization located in the delta region of Arkansas.
