The Northampton Area Food Bank (NAFB) is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven 501-c-3 organization serving residents of the Northampton Area School District and adjacent areas. Formed in 1992 by a group of local churches, it incorporated in 1999 and is operated entirely by volunteers. NAFB is affiliated with the Northampton Ecumenical Clergy Association, and is a participating member agency of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeaster Pennsylvania. As of January, the Food Bank serves approximately 300 families per month - a number that continues to rise.
