Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
The New England Air Museum is committed to presenting the story of aviation, the human genius that made it possible and the profound effects that it has had on the way in which we live. We achieve this by: · Preserving and presenting historically significant aircraft and related artifacts · Developing an appreciation and understanding of the role of the Connecticut Vally's rich aviation heritage and its impact on our daily lives and on the world in which we live · Engaging our visitors through high-quality exhibits that help them understand aviation technology, history and the stories of the men and women who built, flew and made history with these famous machines · Challenging young people to make discoveries and create the technical innovations of the new century by stimulating their interest in the sciences
- Inspiring and encouraging future generations of engineers, technicians, pilots and business leaders to accept and meet the challenges of the future
We are a historical aviation museum dedicated to improving the overall knowledge of our visitors in the areas of science, engineering and history. We have a very successful educational outreach program that we offer to area schools at no charge through corporate funding. This program complies with the CT and MA state science curriculum and is highly desired by the area school systems.
We are now embarking on collaborating with area science/engineering educational institutions and workforce development organizations to utilize our facility to improve the academic skills of students from K-grad school.
These educational initiatives require additional qualified trained staff to execute. Thus the reason for our desire to post on your website.
