Mission Statement

WMO, was created to provide young music students between 3&21 living in the underserved neighborhoods of Miami Dade County with quality music training, constant performance opportunities and experiences through, annual concert series, music competitions, seminars, chamber music, music scholarships, it's Symphony Orchestra, and to work with prospective and mothers to be, in order to include music in the physical, emotional and psychological development of their children from conception to age 3.

Description

The goal of the Walenstein Musical Organization (WMO) is to make music an integral part of the physical, emotional, psychological and cognitive development of fetuses, children and youth from conception to 21 years old, in South Florida; regardless of their race, economic status or handicap, through music education and performances. In order to fulfill this goal, WMO has continued successfully the implementation of the following objectives . 1. To offer special music education seminars to expectant mothers so that they may include music as part of their fetuses holistic development. 2 . To assist mothers of children from 0/birth to 3 years old in acquire the necessary knowledge and tools to continue the integration of music in their children's lives. 3 . To cultivate and further develop the talent of these students through musical training and music appreciation. 4. To provide young music students between the ages of 3 and 21 with a wealth of performance opportunities.
