The mission of the Waste Reduction and Recycling Program is to reduce the waste stream through the effective development, implementation and management of waste reduction and recycling programs which serve the community and are consistent with the County's adopted integrated solid waste management hierarchy.

Description

The Fairfax County Recycling Program is housed in the Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services. We have the responsibility of developing and implementing a wide range of recycling programs for a county of almost 1 million residents.
