Our mission is to foster stewardship of Barton Springs and the Edwards Aquifer through education.

Description

The Beverly S. Sheffield Education Center is home to the Splash! Into the Edwards Aquifer exhibit, an interactive experience focused on the Edwards Aquifer, the Colorado River watershed, and Barton Springs. A movie, aquariums with native fishes, and interactive games are part of the experience. Endangered Barton Springs salamanders are on display here as well. The Sheffield Education Center is also home to environmental education programs relevant to the aquifer and Barton Springs.
