Description

Volunteering at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. Please note that adult volunteers must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school or the equivalent. If you are in high school, please click on the " Teen Opportunities" link.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to help in the community and volunteering within a hospital is especially meaningful. Due to the sensitivity and intensity of issues encountered in a hospital, we have an extensive screening process. Please print, complete and mail the " adult application" to:

Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children
Volunteer Services
92 W. Miller Street MP 367
Orlando, FL 32806

Please be sure to review and sign the "Consent to Test for Tuberculosis" and "Drug Screen and Agreement to Conduct Background Check" forms. These screenings will be done at no charge to you.

We greatly depend on our volunteers. As valued members of the healthcare team, you become the "TLC Department" at a time when our nurses are being asked to assume more and more clinical responsibilities for more and more patients. The key questions to ask yourself are:

  • Can I commit to volunteering three to four hours on the same day most weeks?
  • Can I think in terms of doing this for a year or more?

Again, we appreciate your interest in supporting the patients and staff of Arnold Palmer Hospital. We look forward to meeting you personally.

We do not accept applications from those attempting to complete court ordered community service hours.

I was admitted and treated there in June 2013. The care I received was outstanding. I loved the way I was treated. When I got home although I was glad to be home , I really missed there. It makes you feel at home.
