Our mission is to help struggling readers in elementary school pass the FCAT and build a foundation for success.

Description

Lawyers for Literacy strives to fulfill its mission by facilitating volunteer lawyers, judges, and other professionals in providing tutoring services to at-risk third-grade children at public elementary schools in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

Now in its fourth year, our annual 12-week Read to Succeed program runs from November to March. During that time, volunteers work one-on-one with their assigned child at the child's school for one (1) hour per week, usually from 12-1pm.
