Mission Statement

The CF Care Fund works with doctors and other health professionals to assist cystic fibrosis patients whose financial needs prevent them from receiving appropriate care. Our mission is to help every CF patient receive basic medical exams and medicines, supportive therapies, nutritional support and wellness measures. Our ultimate goal is to aid the full CF community--all ages, all around the world.

Description

Unlike the majority of CF organizations, which fund research, the goal of the CF Care Fund is to support CF patients themselves, regardless of age, gender, race or place of residence--and regardless of what medication they may require. We are currently beginning our third year of operation, working with the top-ranked CF centers at NY-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. More locally, we work in partnership with the doctors and social workers at Morristown Memorial Hospital, and globally we are helping CF patients in Cartagena, Colombia. We plan to expand to another US CF Center early in 2008. The CF Care Fund is fully staffed by a team of innovative and dedicated volunteers, all deeply committed to ensuring equal access to top quality health care, regardless of income. Because we are all volunteers, nearly every penny donated goes directly to the patients we're here to help.
