Mission Statement

Our goal is to remove as many incandescent bulbs in New Orleans and the surrounding areas as we can and replace them with energy efficient ones. The installation of compact fluorescent light bulbs on such a large scale will significantly reduce carbon emissions in the city and help residents save money on their energy bills.

Description

Green Light New Orleans is an environmental organization that provides a free community service to the residents of New Orleans and the surrounding parishes. Our organization provides families and individuals with free compact fluorescent light bulbs and free installation of the bulbs.

Green Light New Orleans is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to helping people reduce energy costs while helping reduce our carbon footprint. Not only are they supplying free light bulbs and helping people afford the high costs of electricity in this city, but they are helping the environment at the same time. It is small steps like changing light bulbs that ultimately make a significant difference in the struggle to become a more environmentally conscious society and save the planet.
