Description

Hospice is a comprehensive program of supportive care for persons with a terminal illness. The goal of hospice is not to cure but to reduce any sumptoms of the disease and to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to the patient and family. All hospice services provided are in accordance with the plan of care developed and continuously evaluated by the patient, caregivers, family physician and hospice team. Beacon Hospice promotes choice,dignity and hope at the end of life. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team.
